lyrics

I wake up every morning and reach for your hand
and sometimes I take my own just to reminisce of your presence.
It's been six months since I've said good bye
but I still talk to the pictures on the walls from time to time.

It's been tough, I'm not going to lie but I catch a glimpse of your picture on the mantle
and smile, knowing despite your departure, we held a love deep inside our bones that not even death can take hold. Death is temporary, our love will always grow.

I've been working hard, I hope you know.
It took me awhile to get back at it,
but someday I want to own a home
and paint the walls your favorite colors.
and build a porch so we can watch sunset together,
knowing you have the best view from where ever you are

I still remember what you wore that day
Still remember your smile, still remember the way
you looked at me, with your hazel eyes.
then you kissed my cheek, and said good bye

As you walked away, I remember thinking.
Our love is an ocean, where we're slowly sinking.
I said good-bye for the last time
the door closed, and you never came home.

It's been six months since you've left home.
I've been writing you letters, they've been helping me cope.

You always said, "The world is a tapestry, and the thread is our heartstrings."
Well, my heart's been healing, my thread is frail and thin.
But I've been constructing a masterpiece that I can show you when we meet again.

we held a love deep inside our bones that death can't take hold. Death is temporary, our love will always grow.
